I deleted my site but it still shows up on search engines

  I deleted a site completely and the link still shows up when googled, of course, when you click on the link, the site shows as taken down by the user and does not work. However, pictures, a short bio, and the site title as well as link still shows up when searched on the internet. How can I take that down????

  Hey,

  I checked your site on google and its not showing up in search results.

  However, it usually takes some time for the search engine to completely remove your site from their index.

  Please be patient and try after 1 – 2 days if you can still find your site on search engines.

  Deleting sites and/or site content or making the site private does not remove indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results) and we cannot help with that. Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results after it produces a 404 (page not found):
