I deleted my site years ago. It still shows up on google searches. Why?

I created a simple portfolio site for an education class I was taking years ago. I deleted it, years ago, and it still shows up on google searches, though it is empty. The url is zmohlisportfolio.wordpress.com. I am logged in to wordpress.com and it says I have no active blogs. The site at that url is totally empty, but I would prefer an empty portfolio not show up when googling my name. I seem to not be able to contact wordpress directly about this. I assume it would be a simple matter of someone deleting the file and killing the site. What do I need to do?

That site was never deleted, clearly. Your options are to attempt to retrieve your account (you’d need to be signed in as the username that created the blog) or to create another site and outrank that one on Google searches. Since it’s empty, that wouldn’t be hard.

Thanks for your response, shortly after posting I remembered how I had difficulty dealing with this before. I was unable to actually delete the blog before, and settled with just deleting content. I thought labeling this post as resolved would end it, so I created a new post here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-can-i-delete-these-blogs?replies=1#return
