I deleted my wordpress site and want to reuse the domain name, please help!?

    Hi! So I deleted my entire WordPress site because I didn’t like the theme and wanted to remake my entire blog with a new theme, however when I try to make a new site with the same domain name as my previous (and now deleted) site, it won’t let me. I had to use a different name (thebeyondsplash.wordpress.com).

    Wondering if I’ll ever be able to use my domain name again? Can someone please help me restore the name? I deleted it just 10 minutes ago.

    The blog name that I want restored is beyondsplash.wordpress.com.

    I’ve been using that domain name since a long time so it’s a bit important… can anyone please help?!

    Hi there:

    We do note many times when you delete your site that deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address. This is the problem you’re running into here.

    In the future, if you want to start a site over from scratch, you should follow the steps here instead:

    https://wordpress.com/support/empty-site/

    We can recover a site within the first thirty days of deleting, but wanted to confirm that beyondsplash.wordpress.com is the site you want restored. I only ask because that site was created earlier today, not a long time ago like you noted. The URL beyondsplashblog.wordpress.com was in use for over a year – was that the site you meant?

    If you can confirm which URL is correct, we can recover it for you.

    Yes Beyondsplash.wordpress.com is the site I want restored! I’ve been using that name since the last few months!

    Hi there!

    Just a note that you changed the address of your site from beyondsplash.wordpress.com to beyondsplashblog.wordpress.com. This means the content you had on the site beyondsplash.wordpress.com is now on beyondsplashblog.wordpress.com which you also deleted.

    I’ve restored the site beyondsplash.wordpress.com for you. But it doesn’t have any content in it because the content is on the other site beyondsplashblog.wordpress.com (due to the site address change you did about 11 hours ago).
