I did a dumb thing and now I can’t find my site.
-
I went on GoDaddy where my wordpress-based site’s domain was bought, because I had to update my info. I noticed that my university’s server was set up as the nameserver. And I assumed if I clicked ‘use GoDaddy Nameserver’ it would just keep everything as-is, just take the ownership away from my university, but keep my page intact. Anyway now my whole site is gone (lol) and I can’t log into the other account that the site was built on. For some reason our profs made us make a new WP even though some of us had one. So I can’t get in from the back end now either.
I am worried I may have lost all my work. Is there any way for me to get back in there and maybe transfer the whole site to this account? Out of ALL my wordpress sites, that one actually had so much work put into it and I was so proud of it.. and it got me a ton of jobs through it, so I’d hate to know I lost it all so fast…
Are the pages I built still lingering somewhere in WP’s servers? Can I recover them, or did I royally mess up?
Thank you in advance.
I sincerely appreciate it.

Hi,
What is the URL of your site?
I have asked for a Staff member to help you. Please wait for them to reply.

Hi Vanessa! We’ll try to help. Like @ryrhino00 asked, could we get the URL of your site that you’re not longer able to access?

Hi @vanessadoban, the site is not hosted here, and has not been before.
Are you able to change the settings back to your university’s name servers? They can likely help if needed.
Going forward, since your site does not use our service (which is different from the free WordPress code) you’ll also want to use the correct forums for self-managed installations, at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Or, you’d be welcome to migrate your site to our services. You can find our pricing here:
