  I discontinued a blog but forgot to cancel the premium, is there a way to cancel it now? I must have missed the reminders, just wondering if I could avoid somehow paying the 99 $, otherwise, could I use the subscription for another site?

  Sure thing! I can cancel and refund that renewal for you. Just to confirm, would you like to cancel both the WordPress.com Premium upgrade and the custom domain name julicainbondi.com?

  Please keep in mind that canceling a domain means you give up ownership of that domain name. The domain name may not be released immediately, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to register it again in the future if you want to keep using it.

  If you’d like to keep the domain and use it somewhere else, you can transfer it instead: Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar

  If you’d like to cancel everything, just let me know and I can take care of that for you.

  that’s good news and very kind of you!
  I have to move my readers and the blog somewhere else (since the headline is Bondi and it/ I doesn’t/don’t live there anymore)
  so would there be an option to keep it as a Julicainbondi/wordpress.com until I made up my mind about the new blog-name and new ID?
  I don’t mind losing the ownership, I just don’t fancy losing all the content and readers, and would like to take them with me to the new place, but just have too much on my plate in the moment to agree with myself on a new domain name etc.
  any option or idea? thank you again

  Hi Julica,

  If you cancel your custom domain name julicainbondi.com you can go back to using your site’s free address julicainbondi.wordpress.com if you’d like. Cancelling the domain name only affects the site’s address (how visitors get to the site) but doesn’t remove your site’s content or your followers.

  So your content and readers are safe and you can add a new custom domain to your site if you’d like to change the site’s address later on. (And there’s no rush for that — your free address will always work, and you can make up your mind later on about the new domain name.)

  I can do that for you. :) Just to confirm, do you want to cancel both the WordPress.com Premium upgrade and the domain julicainbondi.com? I noticed that you’re using some of the Premium features (like custom colors and fonts) on your blog so those features will stop working if I cancel that for you.

  Hi, yes, I’ll reorganise the colours and fonts, as long as it doesn’t affect the theme . That would be to much to reshuffle. if the theme is premium as well I have to keep it, otherwise return to the wordpress.com version! thank you j
