I do not have access to my email used for my blog

Many moons ago I registered for the blog confettiandchaos.wordpress.com and it is still active but I am no longer able to access it by logging in with my email address and password.
When I attempt to reset my password it tells me that the email address I am entering is not registered in their system yet when I search the Inbox for that specific email address I see notifications from past comments and blow follows. There are even old password reset links.
Here is a hiccup; I used my personal email address to register this blog and then created a reply from alias so it wouldn’t show my name. When I enter the email address using my alias WP tells me that they have sent me a reset email……which should come to the email address associated with the alias and it doesn’t.
I have checked my Inbox and Spam. Nothing.
When I use the need more help portion of the password reset form it asks for proof of ownership and the things it asks for I no longer have.
I have recently purchased the domain name for my blog and want to access the blog to update it and have the domain forwarded there.
Help!

To be clear, I also own http://www.mckennabunge.com which redirects to mckennabunge.wordpress.com but that is *not* the blog I need help with. The blog I need help with is confettiandchaos.wordpress.com
