  No worries. You can delete any unwanted WordPress.com site by following this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/

  If the purpose of creating your WordPress.com account was to connect to Jetpack for your standalone WordPress install, you will need to keep your WordPress.com account, but deleting your site won’t interfere with that.

  There is no need to shout out loud. To close your account, https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/.
  However when you want to use the Jetpack plugin, you do need a WordPress.com account.
