I don't have access to my English class' blog, invitation won't work?

  I don’t know what happened, but I need WordPress to blog for an English class. The professor sent me a link to the accept his invite to our blog. I already created an account prior to his email, so when I clicked on the link it says “You can create another account” and it requires me to create a new account, which I don’t need. I’m very frustrated because I’ve been trying to figure this out for quite some time and I have an assignment due. Please help!
