I don't have the foggiest how to customise a page

The first problem I am having is I select a theme that I like and activate it and when I go to my page it looks nothing like it. Then I try to customise it by adding images etc. but no matter what I do nothing changes! I even followed a tutorial showing how to add a logo, and again nothing showed. Is it really this complicated? I thought this site was supposed to be user friendly? Given that I clearly know nothing about setting up websites, do you think I have any realistic chance of doing this myself or will I have to pay to have a website designed for me? I guess you can tell I’m frustrated.

Sorry about the troubles, you have been facing over with the themes. Some times it can be very hard to get these things right even for advanced users. Some times some themes are a little difficult(too many options to tweak) to navigate and get it right. What you see on the theme page might not be what you get when you put in on your blog because the content is different(less images/more images etc). What I would suggest you try, pick a theme that complements your content without much tweaking rather picking what looks nice on the theme page. As time goes you definitely will get the hang of it and you will be able to tweak the themes like a pro. It is just a matter of time. So please don’t lose hope. Give it a few weeks and try again, I am sure you will get it. If you still do have trouble, then may be you can consider hiring some one. -

I checked andhttps://idolamore.wordpress.com/ I see you are using the Harmonic site but you have not added any content first. I would recommend adding at least one post or create a static front page as a first step so that you have some content to work with.
Harmonic is a really image-centric theme, so I would recommend adding a featured image to your post:

It sounds to me like that should have worked. May I ask which tutorial? That way, I can check it to make sure it’s correct and that the logo feature is working as it should be.

Hi… is it possible to change the margins in the body of my blog? To my knowledge I have paid to customise. I have very little experience with this, is there help available or can you guide me to where I might find it… thanks marilynx
