I don't need domain mapping, but I need the domain registration

    I don’t want to pay for domain mapping fee, I started using wordpress, and purchased the domain upgrade, but I don’t use wordpress anymore, my site is hosted somewhere else. Now I have to renew my domain registration, but wordpress will make me pay more for a domain mapping I won’t use. Is there a solution for this? I just want to renew the web site registration…

    Hi there – Your domain, gruposavanna.com, is still registered here with WordPress.com. For domains registered through WordPress.com, the mapping and registration fee is a combined $18.00 – it’s not possible to pay one but not the other.

    If you’d like, you can transfer your domain out to another registrar altogether, however, by following these instructions:
