I don't receive verification e-mail

  I get this notification when I log into wordpress.com that says that I have to verify an e-mail. I don’t know because haven’t received any, so I click on resend, but get nothing.
  I have done this a dozen times the past year, but still no mail.
  I checked the spam folder and looked if I fill in the right e-mail address, but still no verification e-mail. On the forum I see many people have same problem but yet no answer.
  If I type ‘verify’ or ‘verification’ in the search field of the Q&A in the support section of this website, I get only stuff about Google, not about WordPress.
  Maybe somebody can look at it?
