I don’t recieve notifications, and can’t set up a new account

    A while ago I stopped receiving notifications when I commented and checked the ‘please notify me’ boxes. Just now I deleted my account and tried to set up a new one. I clicked on the box to set up an account and it said it would send me a confirmation email. I did not receive one.

    A few ideas to help —

    1. Check spam and other folders
    2. Be sure to check the address listed at wordpress.com/me/account/
    3. Try a different browser temporarily

    Let me know if none of those work out.

    This account is a few years old and is activated. What’s the user account that’s having the issue?

    Thanks for responding.

    I tried the 3 suggestions and none help.

    My username is rickflick, and I use (email visible only to moderators and staff) as my email.

    I have been frequenting Why Evolution is True on WordPress for several years. I always checked “Notify me of new comments via email” and notification comes to my Yahoo.com email.

    About the time I moved from NY to Idaho the notifications stopped, even though I continue to check the box.

    Hi there,

    Your account is currently blocking us from sending you any emails. That setting was automatically changed after a certain number of emails we sent you bounced – we automatically change the setting in this case to prevent your email provider from thinking we’re sending automated spam emails which can get us blacklisted.

    If your email address is active again and able to receive emails, you can re-enable this setting at https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/subscriptions/
