  I don’t see the plugin tab on my page ?
  I’ve bought a program that needs to be installed with the plugin tab.
  What do I need to do to get started?

  There are actually two different versions of WordPress. WordPress that runs on our servers (this is what you have) and WordPress that can be installed on your own web server (sometimes referred as self-hosted). We know, it’s a little bit tricky.

  The thing is, that almost every tutorial online focuses on the self-hosted, even though it’s not explicitly said. On a self-hosted site, users have the ability to add functionality via plugins.

  In order for us to best serve you, we want to make sure your site is always up and running, so we don’t allow third-party plugins to run on WordPress.com

  If you’d like to use a particular plugin, then you will have to transfer your site to your own server.

  There is also a Guided Transfer, a one time $129 fee per blog transferred, where a Happiness Engineer will assist you in setting up your new hosting account and moving all of your data (posts, pages, settings, etc) to your new site.
