I don’t seem to have Appearance; Editor.
Is that an error or has it been removed?
I’ve seen some guides online. It would be useful to use it to delete/edit bits of code from a theme. Like for example meta tags.

    Hi,

Appearance is still an available option code editing outside of adding CSS is not available for WordPress.com. It’s an option through WordPress.org, what type of guides are you looking at?

    Hi @ppstaking,

“Appearance > Edit” only appears in the self-hosted version of WordPress from WordPress.org, not WordPress.com.

It would be useful to use it to delete/edit bits of code from a theme.

Even on a self-hosted site, theme files should never be directly edited – a plugin should be used to add meta tags instead. If theme files are edited, those edits would be lost when the theme is updated.

If you’d like to add SEO info to your WordPress.com site, that can be done with an upgrade to a Business Plan which would give you access to the SEO Tools:
