I Don't Understand The "Block" Thing?

So.. what happened to the old easy way of writing in your blog? I can’t figure out how to insert pictures, make things bold, italicize, nothing. It’s just.. a block thingy. It sucks big time. Might have to move my blog elsewhere.
What gives WordPress?
Is there a way to switch to the editor that it used to be?

Moving to the Block Editor needs some getting used to, but you can do exactly the same things you could with the Classic one and more.

If you only want to add text, you can keep writing – every time you press
Enter, a new Paragraph Block will be created. If you want to add a new line, tryShift+Enter.As @ryrhino00 mentioned above, there is also Classic Block, which imitates the Classic Editor. You can give it a try if you’d like.
