i dont understand what ive got or how to use it

someone ‘helped’ me create a self hosted site. but instead of helping me, just did it for me! he imported my old blogs but its a mess and i cant work out what to do with it. i dont even know what i need to know if that makes sense. my original aim was to put all my blogs in to one place…. but separate places for each so they could be seen indiviudally. instead the whole lot were imported into one blog which is very muddly. i dont seem to understand how to even use it now its embedded into a web site. i need someone to step by step help me decide if this can become manageable for me or whether i cut my losses and dump it. thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi 60yearsyoung,
someone ‘helped’ me create a self hosted site
What is the address of the self hosted site you are working on? If you let me know, I can point you in the right direction for getting some help.
Thanks!

Thanks Gemma
http://sixtyyearsyoung.orgI had 3 travel blogs which I wanted to put in one place. Instead of doing this he amalgamated them so they are now all muddled content wise. 2 were blogger and one was WordPress.
Im wondering if I can learn to import old blogs, put them under Footprints and have a new. current blog where it says blog.
I need to learn how to backup before I do anything.
I see I have a WordPress plugin but think I also need a blogger plugin to import but don’t really understand.
I struggle to log in. My desktop and laptop will accept my password but my iPhone and iPad will not so I’ve been getting locked out. This meant I abandoned my site around 6 months ago and have just recently returned to try again. Lock out was very tight, was on 120mins after 2 attempts, think I shifted that to 5 attempts but think I’ve just lifted it completely! Not a good idea so I need to find a better solution but mostly to understand why my phone and iPad won’t let me in.
I also need to learn how to edit and use WordPress so I can change layout and images as I need to. It seems so much more complicated than in a simple blog.
Thank you

http://sixtyyearsyoung.orgI need to learn:
How to back up
How to install blogger plugin
How to import 2 separate blogger travel blogs and one WordPress travel blog and put them under footprints.
I then need to delete most of what is the current blog as it would be duplicate and the travel blogs are all muddled in it.
I need to learn how to edit and import photos and content into my webpage.
I don’t think I need a webpage, I just wanted to get all my blogs in one place and was persuaded this was the way to do it. Maybe it isn’t?
I need to understand what happens if I stop paying godaddy to host it for me at the end of my contract.
I need to understand whether I paid a one off WordPress payment or how this operates.
I can log in from desktop and laptop. I cannot log in from iPhone or iPad and kept getting locked out of site so I abandoned it about 6 months ago.
I’ve just come back to it, think I’ve lifted my log in attempt block but don’t think this a good idea and need to resolve the mobile/iPad issue.
Thank you.
I know I’ll have many more questions.
I also know I just need to play with it to learn but it’s confusing and much more complex than just a WordPress blog.
I need some idiot proof edit tutorials!

My original post shows as sixty years young but I’m now anitpotter. How does this happen or is this normal? -

You’re using two different accounts to post here, yes.
This thread was started by @60yearsyoung, who owns a number of free WordPress.com sites with us. That account was created in 2016.
Your recent replies are by @anitpotter. This account was created a month ago and only owns the free site, https://tinatestdrive.wordpress.com/
Neither account has anything to do with http://sixtyyearsyoung.org, which is hosted by GoDaddy and built with the open source WordPress software, something completely different from WordPress.com.
Regarding your first few questions, you can find the official documentation for that version of WordPress here:
Though I’d also recommend looking at the tutorials available on Youtube or on sites like wpbeginner.com. Much of those things work more or less the same as on WordPress.com, so our support pages might also be helpful in some cases, but not all.
Support can be found here:

Can you clarify what you mean by “blogs”? A Blog is a website. The individual entries you publish on a blog is called a Post, or Blog Post. If you mean you want to combine the posts from several blogs into a single blog/site, you can do that with either WordPress.com or the self-hosted version, and the process is basically the same – export content from the various other sites, and import those export files to the one site with which you’re continuing.
I need to understand what happens if I stop paying godaddy to host it for me at the end of my contract.
This will depend on GoDaddy’s policies and the specific hosting plan you have for them, but generally with paid hosting, if you stop paying they take your site offline, and after a certain period completely deletes your site’s files from their servers, meaning the content can be lost forever if you don’t keep your own site backups.
I need to understand whether I paid a one off WordPress payment or how this operates.
WordPress, as in the software with which your site is built, is free. You’re paying GoDaddy for essentially renting space on a server where you can run that software and where site visitors can access your content. This typically involves a monthly or annual payment, and that depends on what hosting plan/product exactly you bought from GoDaddy. It’s best to contact them directly to get clarification on that.
I can log in from desktop and laptop. I cannot log in from iPhone or iPad and kept getting locked out of site so I abandoned it about 6 months ago.
We’re not able to help with that, as we have absolutely no control over your login for that site. Please ask in the WordPress.org forums I linked to above, and/or contact GoDaddy support directly.

This is SUCH a helpful response. Thank you! No wonder I am in a mess. I blame Apple in part! It tried to be too helpful sometimes. Yesterday I could not log in at all on my computer as it said all my password attempts were wrong. Today my phone logs me in instantly without password.
I thought I had one account. Are you able to confirm whether they all have the same email address please? How can one email address have different passwords?
Is it possible to delete the test account I made recently? The group I was doing it for decided not to proceed. If I could get rid of that account it would be a start.
If I can identify which is linked to which I can then change passwords but how do I know which persona I’m trying to log in as?
Thank you

It’s the tina test drive that I’m in with now that I would love to be removed please. Is this possible?
-
Sure, @anitpotter, you can remove it here:
http://wordpress.com/settingsOr you can just make it private in case you want to use the name again someday.
If you decide you want to move your amalgamated site here so we can provide more support, let us know and we’ll get some resources for you.
In the meantime, if you want one site that is organized into different topics, you might be able to get what you need using categories and tags.
Cheers!
