I don't understand where to change the URL for putting my posts in chronological
-
I want my posts in chronological order. I have read how to change the URL, but it doesn’t say where and how exactly to change it. I have tried it under editing posts, but it only allows me to change the back part of the URL, which isn’t what is needed, and then it doesn’t save the change anyway and leaves the “/” and the “?” out of the new string. HELP. (The below are the directions, I just need to know where and how to change it exactly. Thanks.)
Add a String to Your URLs
1.Find the URL of the posts you wish to display chronologically. You can choose your whole blog feed, a specific category, or even a tag.
Your URL should look something like this:
http://dailypost.wordpress.com/
2.Choose a start date! You can pick which date you want to be the starting point for your posts.
Let’s say we pick January 1, 2014.
3.Add that date to your URL:
http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2014/01/
That should give us all the posts from January, starting with the newest.
4.Reverse the order by adding ?order=asc to the end of the URL:http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2014/01/?order=asc
Now you should see all the posts from January, starting with the oldest! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The documentation is a bit unclear on that last bit, isn’t it?
To add the url you create following the instructions above to your site, you’ll need to use the “add links” instructions under custom menus. Here are the instructions: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links
Note, the menu item you create will look like your existing blog page, but as far as the software is concerned it’s not exactly a page, so you won’t be able to use the new “page” in place of the the existing format. To compensate for that I recommend you leave the posts as they are on your front page–so your existing readers can easily find the new installments and name the “link” “read from the beginning” or something like that so new people can click there and read the posts in chronological order.
Let me know if any of that was confusing or doesn’t work and I’ll be happy to clarify.
