I don't want a smegging blog! How do a create an actual web page?

  Hello all. I came to wordpress with the hope of making a general web page but everywhere I go it’s blog this and blog that. People have told me they have made pages with wordpress, I have seen page made with wordpress, I’ve even watched tutorials that claim to show you how to make a page in wordpress but when I’ll be damned if I can make anything other than a blog?

  Someone please help me! I’m going out of my mind.
