I don't want edits and updates sent to followers

    When I update, change or edit a post that I made previously. I don’t want it sent to my followers. Sometimes I might make several changes to a post and my followers get the same post several times for each change, update or edit. I want to make the Change, Update, or edit without it being sent to my followers. Any help appreciated.

    Hi,

    Log in to your WP Admin dashboard. You can get to this dashboard by adding /wp-admin to the end of your site’s url (e.g.: example.wordpress.com/wp-admin)

    To disable post change emails, head to Settings → Email Post Changes in your dashboard. You should see some options there to change notification settings.

    Hi there, hope you don’t mind me adding something to this discussion.

    Sometimes I might make several changes to a post and my followers get the same post several times for each change, update or edit.

    The Email Post Changes that @catkiinson mentioned notifies the site owner that a published post or draft has been updated. This is great when a site has multiple authors, but doesn’t affect notifications to site subscribers.

    To the best of my knowledge, once a post has been published there should not be any further emails sent out to your subscribers if you update or edit the post.

    Is there a specific post you can point to where you know that subscribers received multiple notifications of edits on your published post? If so, please give us a link to that post and then add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of this thread’s sidebar so Staff can have a look at the email history. Thanks.

    I guess I was wrong. I don’t know for sure that my subscribers got multiple copies of my post when making changes or edits. I just assumed since I got a email with every change or edit. I don’t care if I get emails for every change or edit because I’m the author. I just didn’t want my subscribers to get all those emails. I did what Catkiinson said and I no longer get emails for edits or changes. which is fine with me. I was only concerned about my subscribers. Many thanks to all who replied.
