I don't want my followers getting repeated updates.

I’m still updating, making changes to the content of my blog as I have an editor working with me. I don’t want emails sent to followers each time I update a post. I could make changes to a post twice a day. How can I stop emails from being sent during these “updates”?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To change blog visibility to Private go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading scroll to Site Visibility and choose option 3

You cannot disable the RSS Feed for posts. You can reduce the number of posts displaying on the main page for post and in the RSS Feed here > Settings > Reading.

emails are only sent when a Post is published – updates are not sent out to subscribers – just the published

If you are an Admin / Editor – you can be notified of any changes to your blog – useful to know when another editor has changed something – but the changes only go to Editors & Admin’s I think and for sure not to regular followers

When I publish, my followers get an e.mail that contains the entire post. This lets them read the post without accessing the blog. This keeps my stats low.

I’ve seen other e.mails that contain only the first few lines of the post. How do I change to this? ThkQ for Ur help!!!

You can control the length of the entry sent out on your RSS feed here Dashboard > Settings > Reading. Choose the “summary” setting for your RSS feed rather than to “full text”. That will compel followers who are not using mobiles to click into the blog to read the full post which will create a page view stat.
