I don't want the "improved posting experience"- where can I shut that off?

I really like the original WP Admin UI. I don’t like Tumblr and I don’t think WP’s attempts to turn it into Tumblr have helped much. I always want to switch away from it so I can get the tools I need for writing posts, WYSWIYG, scheduling, reviewing my content, etc etc.

    1) Can I turn off the “improved” UI so I don’t see it at all? I’m looking for something in configuration that lets me set my default admin screens no matter what device I’m on.

    2) Can you tell me if you plan on getting rid of the old UI? Are you sort of acclimatizing people to this?

    3) If you are getting rid of the old UI, are you removing the functionality of the WP-Admin?

    Thanks!

    Hiya Heather,

You are more than welcome to use the Classic Editor, if you prefer it!

    Simply bookmark the link below:
    http://nearlythere.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

You can access all the tools in the “classic” manner at that link.

I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

I wish there was a way to configure it so that the classic editor was my default. If you’re keeping a log, please add my vote! :)

    Thanks.

    Hi again!

    I sure will, Heather!

I do think bookmarking that link will be your most expedient way to get to your Classic Editor in the meantime!

    Wishing you the best :)
