I don't want the new messages layout
-
When I start a new message I get the old layout, and that is fine. But when I change something in it, and than check how it looks like I come back in the new message layout!
And that is just what I don’t want! (This new messages layout sometimes change the text by pulling out the hard returns). How can I change the preferences in WordPress that it always stays in the old messages layout?
Thanks a lot!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

By “new messages layout”, I believe you’re referring to the new post editor at wordpress.com/post. You will find more links around WordPress.com directing you to that editor. There isn’t a way to specify your preference for the old editor.
The best option would be to bookmark this page:
https://melandlangeveld.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
If you hover over a post and click “Edit” (as shown here) from that page, you will be directed to the old editor.

I would love to learn more about this! Does this only happen when you try to edit an existing post in the new editor?

Yes, this only happen when I edit an existing post in the new editor!
Then all the hard return are gone. That’s why I don’t want this new editor! It’s very irritating, because I have to leave WP without saving, and start again! -
I definitely understand the frustration there. I gave this a few tries, but I was unable to reproduce. Does this happen 100% of the time that you open a post in the new editor?
-
Not always, but it happens frequently!
But now I use the bookmark you give to me. So I never save the bad version anymore (the one without the hard returns) ;)
