Hi.
I have a free wordpress blog and operator a mac machine.
Every so often, WP keeps pestering me to allocate more space for calypso in my machine I don’t want to. I want to keep my blog on the wp server, and NOT in my local machine.
By the time I have typed this message, the popup has come 4 times. I am so sick of it.
How do I turn it off?
Please reply to (email visible only to moderators and staff). Thank you.LG

Hi there,
All browsers store some files from any website you visit locally so that it loads faster the next time you visit that site. The entire site is still hosted online, but some of the code lives in your browser to make it more efficient.
Safari for some reason has decided the files that WordPress.com stores locally is too much so it keeps generating that message. Any other browser will locally cache the exact same files without feeling the need to warn you about it. This is a Safari bug that we can’t do anything about, but there is no harm in just accepting that message. We’re speaking of a few MB that is stored in your browser’s cache. It’s not going to eat up a bunch of space on your hard drive.
Nothing from your blog itself will be stored on your computer. That is entirely on our servers.
