I dont want to pay to both Godaddy and WordPress

    Hello,
I had originally purchased a domain (www.myvalueinvest.com) from GoDaddy. Later on mapped my blog (myvalueinvest.wordpress.com) to that domain. I also have an email (email visible only to moderators and staff) from GoDaddy that came free with the domain registrations.
Currently I am being charged $13 a year by WordPress and a similar amount by GoDaddy. It would be great if I could only pay WordPress and not GoDaddy. Hence, I want to know if there is a way that I could transfer my domain direct to WordPress and not have to pay GoDaddy. I would still like to have my email though. Please let me know. Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello!

If you’d originally registered your domain through GoDaddy, you won’t be able to transfer it to WordPress.com. One of the reasons we created Domain Mapping was precisely cases like these — to let users connect their WordPress.com site with a domain purchased elsewhere. I understand that paying two separate entities can be a hassle.

If you’re ever interested in registering another domain, doing it through WordPress.com will ensure that the registration and the mapping is done by the same company.
