  I am trying to figure out how to make a website not a blog and I don’t want to publish this until I have finished designing it. What do I do?

  Websites and Blogs are the same thing. The difference is in how the content is presented. Websites tend to have more static information, organized on pages, and blogs are updated frequently, by the author, via posts.
