I don’t want to see ‘recommended sites’ that wordpress puts in my ‘reader’ list.

When I go to my ‘reader’ list, I see a thing that WordPress inserts, called ‘Recommended sites’. I don’t want them. They are seldom if ever relevant to my blogs and I surely don’t like having them inserted onto my page without my permission. How do I block this unasked for ‘service’ from Word Press?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi subodai213,
The recommended sites feature is built into the Reader and there isn’t a way to remove it. However, you can choose to dismiss individual recommendations using the
Xat the top right — that site won’t be recommended again afterwards.I’ve passed your feedback on to our developers so it can be considered for possible future improvements to the Reader.

I tried to dismiss the ‘recommended sites’ by clicking on the X at the top right. The x is grayed out and does NOT RESPOND.
I shouldn’t have to be subjected to this sort of unwanted intrusion by Word Press. If I didn’t actively search for it, using terms relative to a topic I am interested in, I shouldn’t have to put up with blogs or topics that have no relevance whatsoever with my own blog.

The X is a light color, but it still should get rid of the site that’s currently being recommended, if that site is not relevant to you.
Clicking the X will not close the recommended site panel, though, as that is built into our free reader service. As my colleague mentioned, we’ve filed a request to have that be dismissible in a future iteration.
