I don’t want to use my domain

    Can I get a domain from wordpress like what WIX does for free. I am looking for a basic free website without using my domain. I will switch my domain when I am comfortable with the build.

    Hi @clearhorizon2000, sure. You’re welcome to stage your new site on a free URL with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

    I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:
    https://wordpress.com/plans

    Then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready, and then you can map or transfer the domain.
