It sounds like you are seeing a ‘cached’ version of your post. Even though you successfully deleted the words and saved the changes, WordPress.com often stores a static copy of your site on their global servers to make it load faster, and it can take a few minutes (or a browser refresh) for that copy to update. To fix this and confirm the change is live:Force Refresh: While viewing the post on your blog, press Ctrl + F5 (on Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (on Mac). This forces your browser to ignore its saved data and grab the newest version of the page.Clear WP Mobile Cache: If you are using the WordPress app, go to your ‘Account’ settings and select ‘Help & Support’ > ‘Clear Cache.’Check the Link: If the words are still there after a force refresh, go back into the editor and ensure the post is actually Updated and not just ‘Saved as Draft.’ If you use a ‘Caching’ plugin (though rare on standard WordPress.com plans), you may need to click ‘Purge All’ in your top toolbar.
