I feel my Security is in danger

    I feel my Security is in danger I was told by two of your staff see below that I could pay for upgrades for others and now I’m being told this is not True and I’m also being blocked from contacting Security. I don’t usually do this but I’m going public this time, perhaps I will get answers why the conflicting information.

    Hi Been, I have a favour to ask or perhaps you can advise me, I wish to transfer my Custom design from Freedomborn’s Christmas Blessings (christmasblessings.wordpress.com) to someone elses Blog and also pay for them not to have adds but I don’t want them to know I did this. Of course it may not be possible but I would appreciate it if you could let me know if it is.

    No worries, it’s not the first time. :)

    We can certainly do the transfer and let you pay for someone else’s No Ads upgrade. Does the other person already have a blog on WordPress.com? I just need the address.

    Hi Anne,

    You can use an Australian Post Visa to pay for upgrades other than your bundle. If you want to gift a No Ads upgrade to another user, pay this payment request and let me know the other user’s blog or username. There’s no time limit on this, you can use it when and if you ever decide you want to make that gift.

    What Ben said in that thread was actually incorrect. We are not able to unilaterally move upgrades around and between accounts like that.

    The payment request that Pam made was a one-time payment link. If you wanted to use that, it’s still open. Going forward, though, we are not able to consistently and regularly create manual payment requests for that purpose.

    Thanks Pam that is real good to know, we do unto others as we would like for ourselves and although adds do have a place but if inappropriate they can case problems and distract from the message as a few I have seen did and I don’t want this for myself or others but I still need to be discerning, not always is there a genuine need.

    I flagged this for the staff to help –

    strange on the response – usually the staff are all on the same page on these things – there has been some changes recently with the ability in some cases for people to “gift” an upgrade renewal – the ability to transfer upgrades has been around since before I became active here

    I now have my doubts auxclass and as I said before, I feel my Security is in danger, there seems to be a cover up.

    Andrew’s manner from the start was strange, he closed off the forum before I could even respond and now he is saying something different than he said yesterday.

    I would like to contact Security, would you please provide their direct link.

    Hi @freedomborn, there is no security issue here.

    As @auxclass mentions transferring upgrades is a long standing feature, when you are a user across the two sites. If you’d like to transfer certain upgrades please have Joe either add you to the site or contact us directly. The site belongs to him and without his permission and foreknowledge we will not be making changes to it on your request.

    To gift an upgrade, Pam provided you with a one-time-use link. You can still use that link, if you like. That gift process, though, is manual for us. There is no built-in nor automatic ability, each step is manually done from our side. It’s not something we frequently do.
