  Good morning.

  I want to upgrade my free WordPress account to the $8 per month Business plan. One of the numerous reasons to upgrade is so that my URL address doesn’t read…

  If I upgrade, will I get the shortened URL address?

  I think a Business plan may be more expensive than that. However any upgrades are charged annually in advance not monthly. You currently have your domain pointing to the WordPress.com site but the free address displays in browsers as the domain isn’t correctly mapped. With a paid plan you’ll be able to map your custom domain to the WordPress.com site and then correctly make the domain your primary one.
