I followed the embedding audiomack procedures perfectly, but it is not working. Can I find some assi

I have use audiomack embedding in the past with success (I embed podcast). However, my latest blog could not get the audiomack podcast to embed. http://wp.me/p1hrGs-ns
Can I get some assistance on this please? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It looks like this is an HTTPS issue, since the Support page https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/audiomack-audio-player/ is currently missing its embeds as well. In Chrome, clicking the shield icon in the address bar to allow the “unsafe” scripts makes the embeds appear.
I’ve marked this for Staff assistance.

Hmn… thanks Jennifer. Your description of what’s going on made sense (almost) for me the non-techno kind of guy. I’ll try clicking on the shield ala Chrome… Very helpful, hopefully a fix comes soon.
All the best,

And looking again at your post, strangely, I don’t see the shield icon in Chrome at all so my apologies for overlooking that.
Do please look again in the Text Editor tab of the post you linked to above and make sure the URL of the audiomack file is on a single line by itself, without any extraneous code. Let’s eliminate that possibility before tagging this for Staff.

I am looking at the text editor now, and the audiomack URL is indeed on a line all by its lonesome. Also, that URL is all by its lonesome in the HTML editor mode as well with no tags anywhere near it. Thanks for checking on me. I truly appreciate it. The problem still persist, though, I reckon staff needs to be notified?
All the best,
Joe

Hi Joe,
Can you please try pasting this link to the audio file on Audiomack:
I checked and that link worked for me, as described on the Audiomack Audio Player support page. Please let me know if you run into trouble with that!

Just also passing along that the embeds have reappeared in the relevant Support doc https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/audiomack-audio-player/ and no Shield icon is present in the address bar any longer.

Thank you Rachel and Jenifer, I now have the embed! I did notice, Rachel, that the URL you used was different than the one I had. Was that the culprit? If so, how did I end up with the URL that I did, and you the one that you found? Happy to have this work, nonetheless!
Thanks and all the best,
Joe Krulder

Hi Joe,
I’m not sure how you ended up with a different URL — I used the link to the audio file’s page on Audiomack, which is the one that will work to embed it here at WordPress.com. If you remember where you found the URL you were using, I’d be happy to take a look to see what’s going on with that! In any case, I’m glad it’s working for you now. :)

@joekrulder – You’re welcome, but even after dumping my browser cache and cookies in Chrome 43 (now updating), I’m still seeing the old link (screenshot) rather than the embed in the post joehistorian.wordpress.com/2015/06/07/assigning-podcast-to-college-freshmen-a-reflection/
Also tried in Firefox 38, same thing.

OK, thanks for this to both Jenifer and Rachel. And for something weird.
The embed URL changed all on its own. Rachel suggested I use the following:
I did, and it worked. But then Jenifer said it did not. Lo and behold, after pulling up my blog, sure enough, the successful embed was no longer there. AND, the URL changed to the following (which does not work):
http://www.audiomack.com/embed4-large/joe-krulder/kersh-familys-experience-in-the-american-civil-war
Perplexed!

Hi Joe,
I checked your post and it looks like the changes you made haven’t been published yet. (The older version of your post, from before you changed the embed URL, is still published on your blog.) Can you please try updating the URL again, and then hit the “Update” button on that post to publish that change?
If you run into trouble with that process, please let me know.
-
Well, it seems to have held! Thank you for your patience with me.
All the best,
Joe Krulder

Hooray! I’m glad that worked. :) Let me know if there’s anything more I can do to help with those embeds.
