I forget how to make my site layout work!
-
OK, It’s me, not you. I know… I’ve been doing beerbybart.com for a long time, and this year there are not a lot of craft beer events, so we have been in a blogging coma if not a Covid fog.
But now we do have a new post up, and my husband and I have both forgotten what we did to have one post promoted large on the site and others small!
I did remember to tag the new post as featured and to untag the post that was featured before, but there must have been another customization hack we did on each post. If you look, you see the larger post about Cellarmaker stubbornly staying up next to the new large one about the Bistro Double IPA fest.
I’m so frustrated! Help, please, if you have any ideas.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

NO! That’s NOT CORRECT above — the blog we need help with is beerbybart.com – not my personal page. Arrg.

Oh my god. To my dismay, I just reloaded the page for the third time in the last 40 minutes, and now it is fine.
Is there some reason they would be a delay in recognizing featured posts? Was this ever awkward.
Thanks for what you do, and never mind.

Hi there!
I think you might have just seen the cached version of your site. The browser will remember the site for some time to not have to use all its resources to load everything. You can clear the cache as explained here:
https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache.
That said, if this happens again, try clearing the cache and, if that doesn’t help, let us know the name of the post directly via https://wordpress.com/help/contact, and we’ll have a look.
Thanks!
