I got an email saying my domain will expire but I paid to renew it already

  I got an email notification saying that my domain name will expire on January 23rd. It worries me because I’ve already paid to make sure the domain doesn’t expire.

  Secondly, the email notification was sent to an email address that I no longer have connected to my wordpress account. I checked the inbox that I currently have connected to my wordpress account and didn’t receive a notification.

  Is it just a glitch or is my domain name going to expire? Thanks for your help.

  Hi there!

  Your domain will not expire until 2016. You can check this here:

  https://wordpress.com/my-domains

  Your renewal went through a little while ago, so I’m not sure why the registrar would be emailing you now. Can you make sure that your contact information is up to date in the Domain editor:

  https://afriendlikeben.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  You’ll need to head to the “Transfer Domain” page and disable your private registration. Then head back to the contact details tab and update your contact information. Then you can reenable the private registration.
