We have a concern about some of the content on your blog. Please click here to contact us as soon as possible to resolve the issue and re-enable posting. That is what it says at the top of my blog dashboard. I just started making my website: http://spillguy.wordpress.com and I want to continue with it. I hope I didn’t break any rules. Does anyone have any advice. I emailed them but have not received anything.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are a number of things that could be wrong. Once a person (who really deserved it, frankly) got his IP-address published by the blogger. Too much spam and trolling. But that should of cause not have been done. So the blogger took the ip-address down and the blog lived happily ever after.

Also linking to commercial stuff can give you problems. Or writing about products – if it very advertising-like. As if you are trying to sell things.

Perhaps you could think of something similar?

Yeah, I guess I should take down some of the GPT posts? Would that help?

I think it probably falls squarely here:

Affiliate marketing blogs: Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs and get-rich-quick schemes (”Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). This includes multi-level marketing (MLM) blogs and pyramid schemes. To be clear, people writing their own original book, movie or game reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category.

The above is from http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/ .

Ok, so should I just get rid of the affiliate links or do you think I should just delete the entire post?

If you’ve contacted staff about the issue, wait till they get back to you. If you haven’t contacted staff, then do so immediately.

I would certainly get rid of the affiliate links. I suspect they will make you get rid of the posts as well, but I’m NOT STAFF so I’m only speculating.

Ok, so I deleted the posts on the affiliate links. I contacted them a few times but I still haven’t received a single message. I really hope I can start posting again soon. I just started and I really like the wordpress layout.

It may take up to 24 hours. The person who typically takes care of that stuff is in the UK, so he is still asleep right now.
