  EVERY TIME—and I mean every time—Wordpress is updated, my website gets gitchier and glitchier. Every so-called ‘improvement’ makes creating and editing more difficult. The stupid, inconvenient links creation box that appears, often miles from the button that calls it; the unforgivably irritating live video display that runs every autoplay video over and over; the photo alighnment options (and many, many others) that used to be so clear and obvious in WP 3.0 are now so utterly non-intuitive that I have to copy and paste from a text file; the plugin failures that always accompany every entropic WP ‘improvement’, shutting down every video on my site or removing controls!

  I used to enjoy maintaining my site, but over recent years it has turned into a nightmare.

  PLEASE, please, please, WP engineers: STOP destroying WordPress with your pointless, whimsical tweaks, seemingly borne out of boredom or working an hourly rate. Leave it alone.
