I have 2 WordPress.com accounts and need to recover one

  It would seem I have 2 WordPress.com accounts, one has my blog presently attached, but there is another. I have tried to reset the password using the “Forgot my password” function, but I’m unsure which e-mail it’s going to.

  Does WordPress have a way to verify me/my identity to assist me in obtaining access to the other account? Or perhaps merge them int one account? I’d much rather use the other account as it has my preferred user name, one I’ve used online since the late 90s.
