I have 72 drafts and would like to publish them, very cumbersome…
-
To publish each draft requires a few steps
First I have to list all drafts
Then click Edit. Page down to the Publish button. Click the Publish button and wait
Then back to the list and repeat the procedure for the next draft
My drafts are thus converted to posts one by one.If I would like to return to draft status, I have to work thru this procedure again
If I would like to merge several drafts, there is no other way but copy and paste etcNeedless to say, this is not an acceptable method to work on large number of drafts
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Use the bulk edit feature. Go to the listing of posts, select all the posts (click the check box at the left end of each row). Next from the “bulk actions” pulldown select “edit” and then click the “apply” button. From the status pulldown select “published” and then click the update or save button, whatever it is called and all the posts will be published at once.
You can also use the bulk edit feature to take posts back to draft in bulk as well.
For merging drafts, copy and paste I’m afraid is the only way, and you will not fine a “merge” posts function on any blogging platform. It simply isn’t something that has been requested. In my nearly 3+ years here in the forums this is the first time I’ve seen it even suggested.

Oh, and another thing. The posts listing by default only shows 20 posts. To change that to a higher number (up to 100) while on the posts listing page, click the screen options tab at upper right and increase the number of posts to show on a page.

Have you followed thesacredpath’s instructions to the letter? After selecting Bulk Actions > Edit, you should see, among the options, something that looks like.
Author –No Change– ▼
Comments –No Change– ▼
Status –No Change– ▼That is the status pulldown menu.

Here are some instructions from the support doc, including a screen capture:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit -
Nothing works as described in that support article.
I tick 3 of the drafts , press Edit in the Bulk Action list.
Nothing happens (all it says is “3 posts updated”)
And the ticks are gone. -
I’m not sure what to tell you then as I just set 12 posts on one of my test blogs back to draft and then selected 12 more and added 2 categories as a test and it worked just as advertised. I then republished the first 12 using bulk edit and then again showed up on the blog main page.
What action did you actually do when you bulk edited the posts? If you go to your main blog page and do a force refresh of that page, or delete your browser cache and then reload the page, are the changes then reflected?

OK, it works now.
What I did was to upgrade FF (Firefox) to 3.6.11
Is this the latest version?
Without the Bulk Action, WP would be of very limited use. -
@justicewatcher – Well, then, thank goodness WordPress has “Bulk Action”!
I’ve used it to batch add multiple tags/categories to posts and publish pending posts on my group blog. A very useful feature indeed.

Now I have similar problem with IE8;
I have cleared cache, restarted. But no, it is like a donkey
