    I have a Domain name with another provider. I wish to use a WordPress template but see the comment ‘some settings will be managed by your current provider and some by WordPress’. Any Details? Is it Clunky?. What does it cost?

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

    Hi there,

    I see that you WordPress.com account is brand new so I wanted to clarify.

    There are two different versions of WordPress, WordPress.com and .org. One is the self hosted WordPress.org. The sites built this way use the WordPress software but the domain and servers are provided by a third party (like GoDaddy, 1&1, BlueHost, etc.)

    The other one is WordPress.com. Everything is hosted and managed by WordPress.com.

    Which one are you planning to use?
