I have a new website and want to dock/make invisible my wordpress site.

  oh please someone help me! I have a new website and want to dock/make invisible my wordpress site. I do not want to delete it however would it be advantageous for me to transfer all the content to my new blog? I am a similar business but in a different area in the same state and could still service the area I was in. I see you can pay which would only make sense if it was really going to work to my advantage with the search engines. Also, what is the easiest way to back up the content on the blog?

  Hi,

  You can hide your site by going to My Sites, and then click on Settings. Scroll down to the Privacy section and select Private.

  You can use the Export tool to backup all of your content or transfer your content to another blog. Please see the following article for instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
