Hello!
It seems like you are struggling with the banner and the cover picture. You can change the cover picture (someone standing on a rock doing yoga) by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to the page section and click the edit page option.
Step 2: Click on the cover picture and select replace option.
Step 3: Click on upload picture or choose from the gallery option and set your desired cover picture.
If you want to remove the banner, select a plan per your requirements here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/.
You can learn more about the advantages of WordPress.com plans here: https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/.

thanks ! now i guess i know the difference between a banner and a cover picture.
but, i already paid for an upgrade and still got it. shouldn’t the banner be gone? or is it already gone and i just don’t realize it yet?

Thanks for responding!
It seems like you are facing difficulties regarding the plan purchase. The staff here at WordPress.com will guide you on the same. I’m adding a “mod look” for quick responses.

@thepowerofdandelions that is not a banner, it is the header of the theme you are using. To change it, go into Appearance-Customize-Header Image.

Hi there,
It appears that you may have asked this question more than once, and I answered it over here: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/i-have-a-tag-line-that-needs-to-be-in-all-lower-case/
With this in mind I am closing this post and marking it as a duplicate (to avoid any further confusion) but you are welcome to continue to reply in the other thread, thanks!
