i have a problem with the image next to my site
-
hello,i have recently started a blog and I seem to have a problem.I have managed to get me a gravatar but every time i post something there will be the name of my site and next to it on the left the image of an ”earth”.I can see that image too when i click on ”my site”.my question is:how can i replace that image with my gravatar or with some other image?
I have previously tried to put a logo on my page but i could see the logo only on the page and not where i wanted to see it.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy,
It looks like the image with the earth is part of a header image that your theme (Ecto) has. You can change the header image in your Customizer.
WordPress has a guide for Ecto header images here

Hi,thanks for helping but the header image is not my problem.with the ”earth” i meant the avatar that pops out every time i post something. If i go on reader and see what i posted i won’t see my gravatar or logo next to the site name but just a white and grey ”earth”

Hello,
I understand. It appears you will need to add a blog picture/icon (a Blavatar). You can do this by going to your Dashboard—>Settings—General and then uploading one. Note that it may take several hours for it to appear across WordPress and you may need to clear your cache.
WordPress has a guide here

I also found an earlier WordPress.com forum post that may be helpful too:
