I have a project, does WordPress fit for it ?

    Greetings,
    I’m asking myself a simple yet important question about a project i’m currently working on. I’m actually using Drupal, but honestly, it’s.. not really good. I wanted to know if WP could answer to my researches.

    I’m planning on making a communal moba fansite which would include Guides (and what comes with: searching guides, submitting, commenting etc.), Database (the playable characters, their spells/weapons etc.), and forums. I don’t have much knowledges in php/mysql but I think I might be able to do something if I try hard enough.

    Would like to have your opinion about this, I wouldn’t like wasting time trying to make it work on WordPress if itsn’t possible.

    Hi @reglect,
    It seems that you have a good handle on tech if you’ve been handling Drupal!

    I think a blog in WordPress.Com might be a bit restrictive for you. For something more flexible, you will want to do self hosting with the WordPress.org software.
    You would mostly use plugins to add functionality to what the base WordPress Install can do.
