I have a question regarding my domain name

  I upgraded to get a the domain name bookjunkiesguide.com and now want to use a self-hosted WordPress site for the domain. How long is my name good? Do I really own it? what is my renewal fee? Can I transfer it to another domain company if needed?

  I would like to get setup with my WordPress.org site as soon as I can so please let me know if I can transfer it over as well.

  You registered your domain for 1 year in October, so the domain is yours until it expires on October 22nd. As long as you keep it renewed, it will continue to belong to you.

  what is my renewal fee?

  Your yearly domain fee, including private registration, is $26 per year.

  Can I transfer it to another domain company if needed?

  You can. There are some ICANN laws about how and when you can transfer domains (For example domains cannot be transferred for 60 days after they are purchased) but other than those, the domain is yours and you can take it where you like.
