I have a question regarding WordAds

  I have a website running on wordpress platform. The name of the website is http://www.timewp.com My website is new and still under construction, not a lot of content and traffic because we don’t promote the website yet!
  I have a google adsense account which I used the ads from google adsense and inserted them in my website, just to see how they would look like, but I noticed that there is quite a problem, wordpress doesn’t allow me to update or download any plugins etc. because I am not a user of the WordAds Program which I didn’t know that, I used wordpress three years ago and some things have changed. My question is, do I have to be in the WordAds Program if I want to make some earnings from my google ads on my website hosted on the normal wordpress platform, or I need to apply for WordAds?
  If so, what do I have to do if I want to be part of the program?
  I have read that there is traffic min. limit my website need to have, is it true?
  What else should I know?
