  I have a site/blog just formed, and I need a .com (URL). How do I get that?

  By upgrading to a paid plan. That will give you the option to choose a custom domain name.

  Dear Sir,

  To set up a custom domain the prerequisite is to have an active WordPress plan(Personal, Premium or Business).

  There are multiple ways to add a custom domain to your site which are a follows

  1) The fastest and easiest way is to register a domain through WordPress.com

  2) If you already bought a domain then you can use the transfer option to transfer the domain from the current domain provider (like GoDaddy, Namecheap..etc.) to WordPress.com, for detailed instructions kindly visit https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  3) If you already own a domain you can map the domain to the WordPress.com by modifying the DNS records in the current domain registrar, for detailed instructions kindly visit https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/
