    Hi there!

It does appear you’ve lost our menu, but it also looks like you’re site has no content. A menu’s not much good without something to point to. So let’s try to make both to test this out.

Start by visiting your Menu settings here:

    https://kiwineco1943.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php

Click “Create a New Menu” and add to it whatever Pages, Category Pages, or Links you’d like to include, then save the menu.

A good start might be to check the “Auto add pages” option, save the menu, then add some Pages to your site, and see how they appear in the menu.

Let me know if you have questions while setting that up!

alexjgustafson I thank you genuinely for your kind response. I have no idea how it happened but the reference went through to being about a website that I have not used for many months. I apologise for this. The site I was making reference to is hospitalitycareerhints.com and you will see that I am slowly getting it sorted by copying and posting everything as new. Probably the most novice way of doing but the best I can manage. The only thing I cannot figure out is how to create a heading for the drop down. e.g. Memorable Moments.
    Hope this all makes sense

    Hi Neil,

I apologize for that misunderstanding. Taking a look at hospitalitycareerhints.com, this is is a self-hosted site running the free software from WordPress.org.

I’d still recommend checking your Menu settings first thing:

    http://hospitalitycareerhints.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php

Adjusting those menu settings will work similarly to how they do on WordPress.com. I imagine when you visit those settings you’ll find some menus already created because these two locations are controlled by menus.

However, since your site is self-hosted, I have no access to your site files and cannot best support your issue here.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

WordPress.org has complete support and documentation sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress at:

    http://wordpress.org/support/

    http://codex.wordpress.org/

You can also find a support forum for your theme, Expound, here:

    https://wordpress.org/support/theme/expound

If you need any professional help for your self-hosted WordPress(.org) blogs, please check out our suggested WordPress professionals here:

We also offer yearly and one-time premium support packages for self-hosted WordPress sites through our VIP program, available here:
