Wild West says that it is a wordpress problem. they said I could access it if it was set up correctly by you. When we log on it says you don’t have any sites but I do. It is freshaircounseling.com. Bluehost is the host.

    Hi there,
You do need to be logged in with the account that purchased the domain here on WordPressdotcom in order to access it.

freshaircounseling.com is currently pointing to a site hosted on WordPressdotcom (freshaircounselingdotcom.wordpress.com). That’s how domain mapping works.

If you now want to use the domain you purchased through WordPressdotcom on a self-hosted site on Bluehost, once you are logged in with the correct account, you will need to change the DNS pointers in your domain management dashboard here. Here’s instructions on that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/ at the bottom of the page there is a link to instructions for BlueHost.

Please be aware that domains here are an annually renewing upgrade. If you intend to keep using that domain, do not let it expire. That Support doc also give you information about transferring your custom domain to another registrar, if you wish to do so.

Let us know if you need more help with any of that.

Thanks so much! I will try that. The domain still shows Wild West as its registrar. I know it expires at some point and I’m not sure how to change the domain since they won’t give me an EPP.

Hi @golfisland1: I can confirm that freshaircounseling.com was registered under a different WordPress.com account to the one you’re writing from. Do you have access to that account?

If you have access then you are free to login and follow the steps here to transfer it to another registrar:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/

If don’t have access or remember the account that you used to register freshaircounseling.com then please fill out our account recovery form:

    https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

We’ll be able to help from there!

Help. I have NO proof of purchase. My email and phone are the same but they don’t offer confirming through those customary means.

no one including everyone at wp can get me into my site so I have decided to kill the site. Can anyone tell me how to do that?

Again, this is something that can only be done by the site owner. It would be a significant security breech to allow non-owners to delete a site.

While I can understand your frustration, the only information that we can accept for account recovery is information that cannot be faked or spoofed.

If you made a purchase on WordPress.com, you should have a receipt with a transaction ID that could be used on the form here:

    https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Thanks for noticing that. It is a different account however, it won’t recognize my sore login only the blogger login I’m using bc WP wants to associate my email with only this blogger thong login and not my site. They apparently won’t let you use the same email for different logins so it is a perpetual loop back to this blogger thing login. I created this nightmare when i set it up thinking it was going to log me into my site. I purchased the site on 2/7/14 but went through my emails and found nothing from WP – no receipt, no conf email from that date. I may be able to show a bank transaction but they probably won’t accept that. See the problem now?

I have sent you an email to the address associated with your WordPress.com account. Please let me know if you did not receive it.

I did not receive it. I am getting notifications of the thread updates but I don’t see a private email from you. Do you have the kland3 or the golfisland1 email?

    It went to kland3.

I didn’t get it. The email is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

That is the email address that I used. And I received a response to the email.

If it was not you, then we have larger issues.

More importantly, I sent an email to the owner of the domain that you claim is yours and have had no reply.

So, without account login information, recovery information, or access to the email that owns the domain, it is very unlikely that there is anything we can do for you.

I tried pasting a screen shot into this box showing your thread in my inbox but it wouldn’t allow it. I’m sorry but you must have the wrong email address. Why don’t you give me a dummy email and I will send an email to it from my email which, of course, is (email visible only to moderators and staff). If I were a hacker would I need you?

Another way to approach this might be to use https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ if you were the one who paid for the domain.
