I have a static front page. Is there a way to make visitors take note of when something new has been

I am taking care of a website for some people. They want the website set up in a way that when something new is posted on the website the viewer can easily tell so. Preferably this can be shown on the front page. Is there a way to do this? Right now we just have different headers.

    Thank you,

    Hello Connie,

An easy way to do this would be using Widgets in the left-sidebar of your blog. Log in to your WordPress.com dashboard, and add a ‘Recent posts’ widgets to add your recent posts to your sidebar. You can name this sidebar as ‘News’ – and you could post your updates as blog posts, which would be posted in the reverse chronological order in this sidebar (last item first). You may also add a pages widget which would display the latest pages in your blog in the sidebar in a similar manner.

Personally I would get rid of the static page thing – most people read the About thing maybe once then go onto the real info – give them the latest info on the front page also make sure you have a follow / subscribe Widget easy to find if you don’t already have one
