I have a wall of text that I'd like to intersperse with photos. How?
-
I want to put phots along with a post! Right now I have a lot of text and I’m afraid readers back home won’t be able to digest all the information I’m giving to them. Any ways to intersperse a photo or three in there to make it more agreeable to the eyes?
Thanks in advance,

See the accepted file types here please:

For uploading images posts and pages see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/
Here are more details about the options for uploading images http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/04/26/images-the-three-link-options/
For troubleshooting images see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/troubleshooting-images/See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#alignment
The alignment icons in the WordPress editor are for aligning text; they are not for aligning images. They are used to achieve wrapping text around images on either the right or left hand side, or to display an image that’s centered without text on either side of it.
Align-left means position left, with the rest of the content wrapping around the right side of the image.
Align-right means position right, with the rest of the content wrapping around the left side of the image.
Align-center means position center, with no wrap-around (= the rest of the content below the image).
If the text beside the images does not occupy the same amount of space that the image beside it does then the text wrapping will continue and the images and text that follow will have a staggered appearance.
To prevent the staggered effect what you do is insert the following snippet of code into the Text (HTML) editor after each image/text pair:
<div style=”clear:both;”></div> -
Hi there !
You’re right, having a metric ton of text without anything else can be hard to assimilate, and putting images show help a lot.
To include images in your post or page (same procedure), you need to put your cursor where you want the image to show, then you click on ‘Add Media’, drag an image, and you’ll have the option to align it to center, left or right.
You can learn a lot more about publishing articles here : http://learn.wordpress.com/get-published/#publishpost
And don’t forget to put lightweight images (a max width or height of 1400px should be a perfect compromise between big screens and fast loading times)
You can also optimize your images prior to upload with one of these tools : ImageOptim for Mac (http://imageoptim.com) or FileOptimizer for Windows (http://nikkhokkho.sourceforge.net/static.php?page=FileOptimizer)
Have a nice evening :)

@caghgd
Here are the Quick Specs (all measurements in pixels) for the Wu Wei theme:
The main column width is 460 pixels with footer widget areas of 220.
Header image is 700 in width and 144 in height.Do not forget to optimize your images 72 DPI and to make sure they are pre-sized to fit into the places you intend to embed them into prior to uploading them. That way you will get the best image quality, you won’t be wasting your free image storage space, and you won’t be troubleshooting images. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/03/26/cropper-or-proper-image-preparation/

If you resize your images to 460px by 306px (Implying a 3:2 ratio), the DPI is irrelevant.
-
-
Using DPI implies that you are resizing using inches, not pixels.
a 100×100 file at 72DPI or a 100×100 file at 1000DPI is the same, the only difference is the default size for printing afterwards.
