I have a web address but can't access it.
-
I’ve had a largely dormant account for some time. On the “My Account” page, it says I have the Web Address of (let’s say) “webaddress5.wordpress.com”. However, when I go to this link, I get this error message: “webaddress5.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.”
I tried creating a blog with this name but it says “Sorry! That site already exists!”
It’s possible I had a blog and took it down (I really don’t remember). But if I still “own” the domain, why can’t I create a blog with it now?

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
